Website shop.flodraulicmotionsystems.com – Flodraulic Motion Systems
1. Statement of Commitment
Flodraulic Motion Systems S.r.l., with registered office at Via Cartiera 154 – 40037 Borgonuovo di Sasso Marconi (BO), Tax Code and VAT No. 01698441209, is committed to making the e-commerce platform shop.flodraulicmotionsystems.com accessible, in accordance with the principles of digital accessibility, in order to ensure an inclusive, clear and usable browsing experience for the widest possible range of users, regardless of individual abilities or the technologies used.
The accessibility assessment of the platform was carried out on the basis of WCAG 2.1, Level AA and the European standard UNI CEI EN 301 549.
The results of the assessment provide the basis for identifying the accessibility barriers present and for planning measures aimed at progressively improving the accessibility of the platform.
This statement concerns the e-commerce service provided through the online store at shop.flodraulicmotionsystems.com and describes its current level of accessibility, known limitations, commitment to monitoring and continuous improvement, as well as the procedures for managing user reports.
2. Compliance Status
The assessment identified partial compliance of the website shop.flodraulicmotionsystems.com with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA criteria, adopted as the technical reference for assessing the accessibility of the platform.
The lack of full compliance is due to the issues identified during the accessibility assessment carried out on 18/09/2026, which included automated analysis using Google Lighthouse and manual testing with assistive technologies through keyboard navigation and the use of the VoiceOver screen reader on macOS/iOS and NVDA on Windows.
The audit was conducted on the Italian-language version of the website, which is its default language. The technical accessibility barriers described in this statement are present within the shared theme and templates and are therefore also present in a similar manner in the English-language version of the website.
3. Non-accessible Content
The content listed below is not accessible for the reasons set out below. The descriptions are provided in non-technical language, with reference to the WCAG 2.1 AA criteria that are not met.
Unable to change quantities in the shopping cart (WCAG criteria 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value and 3.3.2 Labels or Instructions). The controls used to increase and decrease the quantity of an item in the shopping cart do not have a description, and the field used to enter the quantity directly does not have a label. Users who rely on screen readers are therefore unable to change the quantities in their order, resulting in an interruption of the purchasing process at a mandatory step.
Unable to zoom pages on mobile devices (WCAG criterion 1.4.4 Resize Text). The website configuration prevents users from enlarging page content using zoom gestures on smartphones and tablets. Users with visual impairments, for whom magnification is the primary means of accessing content on mobile devices, cannot adjust the text size to suit their needs.
Header and footer images without alternative text (WCAG criterion 1.1.1 Non-text Content). Three images without valid alternative text are present on all pages of the website: the image in the main menu linking to the Group website, the company logo in the footer, and the logo of the shipping carrier. The information conveyed by these images is not available to blind users.
Links without descriptions in the header, footer and breadcrumb navigation (WCAG criteria 2.4.4 Link Purpose and 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value). The link to the Group website, the footer logo linking to the home page, and the first element of the breadcrumb navigation present on all internal pages do not have a text description. Users who rely on screen readers therefore encounter links on every page without information about their destination.
Payment method logo without a description (WCAG criterion 1.1.1 Non-text Content). On the checkout page, one of the available payment methods is represented solely by the service logo, without alternative text. Users who rely on screen readers are unable to identify the payment method they are selecting.
Manufacturer filter without a label (WCAG criteria 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value and 3.3.2 Labels or Instructions). On product listing pages, the drop-down menu used to filter products by manufacturer does not have an associated label. Users who rely on screen readers can perceive the presence of a list of options but receive no information about the filtering criterion they are setting.
Controls for opening filter panels are not identifiable as controls (WCAG criterion 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value). The controls used to open and close the refinement filter panels are not implemented as buttons and include a status indication that assistive technologies are unable to interpret. As a result, the open or closed state of the panels is not communicated to the user.
Insufficient colour contrast (WCAG criterion 1.4.3 Contrast Minimum). Several text elements on the website do not provide the minimum required contrast ratio against their background. The issue particularly affects the counters showing the number of available products next to each filter option, the headings of information sections on product pages, and user-entered text in checkout form fields. Readability is impaired for users with visual impairments, colour vision deficiencies, or when browsing in bright lighting conditions.
Home page product carousel with an incorrectly declared structure (WCAG criteria 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value and 1.3.1 Info and Relationships). The carousel presenting featured products on the home page is announced to assistive technologies as a list of selectable options rather than a list of products, and it contains links and buttons in positions that are not permitted by the declared structure. Users who rely on screen readers therefore receive a misleading representation of the main content of the home page and may not perceive the available controls.
Dialog windows without accessible names (WCAG criterion 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value). The windows that open when adding a product to a wishlist or creating a new list do not have accessible names. When they open, screen readers announce the appearance of a dialog window without being able to communicate its purpose.
Text serving as headings is not marked up as headings (WCAG criterion 1.3.1 Info and Relationships). The headings of footer columns, the headings of blocks on the checkout page, and the headings of information sections on product pages are formatted as plain text rather than heading elements. Users who rely on screen readers cannot navigate directly to these sections using heading navigation tools, which are particularly useful on longer pages such as the checkout page.
Inconsistent heading hierarchy and missing main heading on certain pages (WCAG criteria 1.3.1 Info and Relationships and 2.4.6 Headings and Labels). The heading structure contains level skips on numerous pages of the website. In addition, the home page and checkout page do not have a first-level heading identifying the main subject of the page, which is an essential reference point for users navigating through the document structure. Some pages also contain heading elements without any text content, which are nevertheless announced by screen readers as headings, creating navigation elements that do not lead to any content.
Navigation elements cannot be distinguished from one another (WCAG criterion 1.3.1 Info and Relationships). Product listing pages contain several navigation areas — breadcrumb navigation, the main menu and pagination — without accessible names that distinguish them from one another. Users who rely on screen-reader landmark navigation are unable to determine which navigation area corresponds to which function.
Invalid indication of the purpose of the tax code field (WCAG criterion 1.3.5 Identify Input Purpose). In the checkout form, the field intended for the Italian tax code contains a purpose indication that is not recognised by the technical specifications. As a result, browser and assistive-technology autofill functions are unable to recognise the field and assist the user in completing it.
Redundant description in the language selector (WCAG criterion 1.1.1 Non-text Content). The flag image displayed next to the name of the current language contains alternative text identical to the adjacent visible text. Users who rely on screen readers therefore hear the same information announced twice.
3.1 Third-party Components
The website includes components and services provided by third parties, including the cookie consent management system, the anti-spam protection system for forms, and statistical measurement tools. The accessibility characteristics of these components may depend, in whole or in part, on the technical solutions and configuration options made available by their respective providers. Mitigation measures are currently being evaluated, including reviewing the configuration options made available by the providers and assessing alternative solutions with a lower impact on accessibility.
The website also provides PDF documents and other downloadable files, including product technical data sheets prepared and supplied by the manufacturers of the components sold. Flodraulic Motion Systems S.r.l.'s ability to intervene directly on such content may be limited, as its preparation and updating depend on third parties.
4. Preparation of the Accessibility Statement
This statement was prepared on 5/10/2026. The assessment methodology involved a combination of automated analysis using scanning tools (Google Lighthouse) and manual testing with assistive technologies, in particular:
-
complete navigation of the website using the keyboard only, including verification of the tab order and visibility of the focus indicator;
-
testing with the VoiceOver screen reader on macOS and iOS;
-
testing with the NVDA screen reader on Windows.
The analysis was conducted on a representative sample of 28 pages of the website, selected from the 1,766 URLs published in the Italian-language sitemap and from functional pages not included in it. The sample included the home page, category pages across all four depth levels of the catalogue hierarchy, product listing pages, three product pages representative of the entire catalogue, information and legal pages, the contact page, search results with and without results, the shopping cart, the checkout page, login and registration pages, the customer account area, and the 404 error page.
The manual tests covered the main user journeys of the service and were completed entirely using assistive technologies only: locating a product through category navigation and search, applying refinement filters, consulting the product page and related technical documentation, adding a product to the shopping cart, modifying the shopping cart, registering an account, and completing the purchasing process up to the payment step.
The complete technical report, containing the detailed list of identified issues and proposed solutions, is available from the service provider.
This statement will be reviewed annually and, in any event, whenever substantial changes to the website — structural, functional, technological or layout-related — may affect compliance with accessibility requirements.
